What materials do you work with?

I draw on 300gsm Hot Pressed Water Colour Paper

The pencils i use are Faber Castel Polychromos and Faber Castel water colour pencils.

How long does it take to complete a drawing?

Depending on the size and composition requirements a portrait can take between 15 - 40 hours to complete, spread over a period of 3 weeks, 

If your portrait is for a special occasion please get in touch as early as you can so we can get it to that special someone in time

How big will the drawing be on the page?

The drawing will be slightly smaller than the paper size so as to allow for white space when mounting and framing. Check out the Size Guide.

What kind of photos do i send you?

Ideally we want the photos to be taken in natural light showing your pets true colours, the glint in their eye, direction of fur and texture of their nose. Think about the pose that best tells the story and captures what you love most about your pet. Check out the detailed Photo Guide for examples of great reference photos and how i work with them.

Will my portrait be framed?

Choosing a frame that suits the style of your home is personal choice and I believe is something that is best chosen by you. 

How will I receive my portrait?

I’m based in Sydney, Australia. All packages will be sent via Australia Post. If you’re super close I will hand deliver your portrait. 

Will the progress shots of my portrait be shared on social media?

I like to share the behind the scenes and progress shots of my work as I go. However if your portrait is a gift please let me know and we’ll keep it secret squirrel business until your portrait has been gifted.
